Black History Month Doll Show Hyattsville, Maryland

Doris McGillan displays her beautiful dolls.

Carrie Lyles displays her wonderful dolls.

I attended the Black History Doll Show this weekend in Hyattsville, Maryland. Over 10 fine black doll artists attended showing their latest collections. I was deeply impressed with the show. I was honored to meet two of the finest black doll artists, Carrie Lyles and Doris McGillan. I also met newcomer, Tenaria Drummond-Smith of More Than Just A Doll. All doll artists were warm, friendly and encouraging of my own doll art! I will definitely attend and participate in this show next year.
