Here is one of my latest art dolls on canvas.

Hi as promised, I am showing some of my latest art doll work that I have been putting together as part of a series. These are part of the Natural Woman Art Doll Series I am creating. They are made from sticks that I have found outside my doll studio in Riverdale Park, Maryland. I was inspired to create these from the Transformational Doll Making class I took earlier this year. These will be on exhibit with more dolls shortly.

My New Year's Affirmation

This affirmation came to me today by one of my groups on Facebook. I thought I would share it with you and hopefully it will inspire you too!

TIP OF THE DAY: it occurs to me, on this eve of the new year, that every year of my life has been better than the previous year. Sure there were tough times but those times made me stronger, both emotionally and spiritually. I would not trade 2009 for anything and I can't wait to see what adventures await in 2010! ...

My Lastest Public Exhibition: Vivant Art Collection In Philadelphia

I am pleased to announce that I am currently in a group show for African American History Month at Vivant Art Collection, located at "Gallery Row" in downtown Philadelphia!

I have several new mixed media artwork available as well as three dolls a part of this show. More information on receptions, etc. is forthcoming!

Another Satisfied Sankofa Doll Customer!

Destiny is a one of my first satisfied customers in the new year! Destiny was given one of my spirit dolls as a gift. This young lady presented some lovely artwork to me which moved me in some way so in exchange I had to give her something nice. She attended the Double Visions Exhibit reception back in December and has continued to be one of my BIGGEST fans. Upon opening the package for the doll I understand she was super excited and sent word of "thank you." Well THANK YOU Destiny for being one of my inspirations for what I do.
