Donating to A Worthy Cause: Dress for Success in Washington, DC

A friend suggested that I donate one of my Sankofa Dolls to the Dress for Success Dress for Success 7th Anniversary Luncheon on Monday October 19, 2009 at the new W Hotel Washington, DC. The event will feature a reception, luncheon, and a program where Michelle Fenty, wife of D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, will be the keynote speaker.

According to their press release:

"Dress for Success is a worldwide charitable organization providing professional attire, mentoring programs and career assistance to women who are making the transition from welfare to work. Dress for Success Washington, D.C. is one of 96 Dress for Success Affiliates operating in the United States and in several countries throughout the world. Since opening its doors in 2002, the Dress for Success Washington, D.C. Affiliate has served over 5,000 women in the D.C. Metropolitan area and will continue to meet the needs of women who desire a better life for themselves and their families.
